- Forms must be filled out before a Member begins his Study Leave. Forms cannot be backdated. Absences from Company meetings will be counted prior and after stated Study Leave dates.
- When the Study Leave letter is returned to the Company, the Squad Leader will verify that the form has been filled in correctly and signed by either the Member's Parent or Guardian.
- The Squad Leader will make a photocopy of the form.
- The Squad Leader will place the original Study Leave letter in the Study Leave Letter file, which is kept in the BB Office.
- The Squad Leader will keep the photocopy of the Study Leave letter in his Squad File for his own reference.
- The Squad Leader will inform the Squad Officer of which Boys have taken Study Leave. He will also inform the NCO Council during "Squad Reports" at Council Meeting.
- When the Member has returned from Study Leave, the Squad Leader must inform the Squad Officer and also the NCO Council.
- The Squad Leader will then mark "Returned to active duty" as well as the date on the original and photocopy of the Member's Study Leave letter.
