Intersquad Bible Quiz

Syllabus Covered:
  • Joseph (Genesis 37 - 50)
  • King Saul (I Samuel 8 - 31)

Why are we doing this?
  • To enhance bible literacy among Boys, through Squad Competition
  • To enhance fellowship and bond among Boys, as part of year-long inter-squad competition
  • To aid preparation for National-level BB Quiz

How are we doing this?
  1. Conducted in open quiz style for 60 minutes (45 min. for quiz time, 15 min. for preparation)

  2. Each Squad is represented by 4 team members.

  3. Team members will answer questions one by one.

  4. One quiz master will read out questions, which may be in objective or subjective format.

  5. One timer will ensure that questions are answered with :60 seconds.

  6. If the team member fails to answer, the question will be opened to Squad Members in the audience. Answer must be given within :15 seconds.

  7. If the Squad Members fail to answer the question, then the question will be opened to the Floor audience. Answer must be given within :15 seconds.

  8. Audience Member that comes forward the fastest to ring the Time Keeper’s bell will be allowed to answer.

  9. Correct answers will be awarded the following points:
    • By Team Member: 2 points
    • By Squad Member: 1 point
    • By Floor Audience: 1 point

  10. Winner will be determined by the Squad that accumulates the highest score.

  11. In the event of a tie, a tie-breaker question will be introduced.

  12. Scoring for inter-squad games Title will be as follows:
    • Winner: 6 points
    • 1st Runner Up: 5 points
    • 2nd Runner Up: 4 points
    • 3rd Runner Up: 3 points
    • 4th Runner Up: 2 points
    • 5th Runner Up: 1 point
