- Strengthen fellowship among Squad Members
- An opportunity for Squads to do “soft” Recruitment
Guidelines:
Squad Leaders may organize any activity for their Squad on 5 August 2006, but in accordance with the following guidelines:
What can I do?
- Please plan to have as much fun as possible and strengthen fellowship! Take pictures!
- Please maintain the highest levels of safety for all Boys.
- Squad Members must stay overnight within the MBSSKL-Wesley Church KL area.
How much time do I have?
- All Boys must attend regular Company Meeting from 12:30pm – 6:30pm
- 6th August is Mufti Sunday – all Boys must attend the 10:00am service in appropriate attire.
How much can I spend?
- There is no Company subsidy for this activity. Please plan your budgets wisely or contact your Squad Officers for help.
Can I bring friends?
- Yes, you may bring friends – but only for the purpose of recruitment.
- Remember, this is a time to bond with your older and younger brothers in the Squad, not hang out with your “regular” friends.
- Since 1st KL does not have a Girls’ Wing to recruit for, it is obvious that no girls are to be invited for any part of this activity.
What administrative details must I fulfill?
- Proposals – including budget and schedules – must be submitted to Squad Officers and Lt. Wong Giok Leigh (by hand or by email) by 22 July 2006.
- Consent forms must be prepared and returned to Squad Officers BEFORE the day of activity.
- All consent forms must be completely filled and signed by parents.
- No Boy or potential recruit is allowed to participate in the activity without a signed consent form.
Apart from these guidelines, you may be as creative as you want.
Relevant Information:
- Please make all effort to include your Squad Officers in this activity.
- You may download model consent forms here.
- Contact Lt. Wong Giok Leigh (012-3232988 or bbleigh316@yahoo.com) for more info.
